In the book of Exodus, it speaks again about the Isrealites. There were 10 plagues that God has brought to Egypt and the last one was the death of the first born son. Before the angel of death came to Egypt, God told Moses to prepare a feast, the passover. Everyone was to slaughter a young pure lamb and spread its blood over the frame of their door so that when the angel came, he would pass it over. They were also told to eat bread without yeast, but why no yeast? It is like when we were sinners, we live a life that is so infected, but God gave them a new life, that we would be a new creation. When we confess our sins (sincerely), God says that He is faithful and Just and will remember no more of our sins. He had taken away our old dough (previous self) and gave us a new dough, and He wants us to let this dough remain pure and un-infected by sin. God told the Isrealites not to add yeast because He want us not to be infected and affected by anything that is harms our body and mind and the realtionship with Him. Like yeast, one little drop can multiply and spread to the entire dough! Just like sin, a small sin if untreated can lead to a deeper and higher level for you to treat it, if nothing is done, gradually you become insensitive to it and it no longer seems wrong.
When we sin, we should confess right.. and God told us to enter into His presence boldly, sometimes when we sin, satan makes thoughts in our minds like "you are no longer worthy to seek forgiveness from a holy God", He makes us feel ashamed of our own sins so that we will not have the courage to seek forgiveness from God! Even though we sin, why dwell over it when God himself say that He is faithful and just, but also do remember that you must no longer compromise yourself that even if you sin that same sin again He will always forgive you.. is is still your duty to discipline :)
